The Dressage Team at UC Davis is one of four student-run equestrian teams at UC Davis. We compete in the Intercollegiate Dressage Association as a member of Region U. Why Dressage?Dressage is an equestrian sport that is recognized at the state, national, and international levels. Dressage is a French term for "training" and the sport emphasizes the proper development of horse and rider working in harmony through different levels of training. There are nine levels, from Introductory to Grand Prix. Dressage is a wonderful way to deepen a rider's understanding of connection, submission, thoroughness, and the functionality of position. Participating with the UC Davis Dressage Team helps riders progress on their dressage journey. |
